One afternoon, while walking her dogs, a young woman spotted a tiny, weak calico kitten stumbling towards her. Despite the two dogs by her side, the kitten showed no fear. Sensing the kitten needed help, she decided to take it home.

At first, May’s eyes were stuck shut due to discharge. The woman gently cleaned the kitten’s eyes, bottle-fed her, and made her a warm sleeping spot. These first moments of care helped May stabilize and feel safe in her new home.

By the second day, May adapted quickly, demanding milk and showing her playful, energetic side. Her eyes slowly began to open and became clearer thanks to the medication. May even tried to climb out of her cardboard box, prompting her owner to move her into a metal cage for more space.

Day 10 – Day 21: Development and Training

On Day 10, May was introduced to a litter box and successfully used it, much to her owner’s delight. It was clear that the little kitten was not only intelligent but also full of energy, running around the house non-stop.

On Day 17, May was fed her first kitten food. She eagerly devoured the meal, showing her excitement and growing appetite.

By Day 21, May had her first health check-up. The results showed that her bloated belly wasn’t due to overeating, but rather the presence of worms (tapeworms). Since May was still too weak for oral medication, she began receiving external deworming treatment to help her recover.

Day 30 – Day 60: Integration and Maturity

After a month of care, May became smarter and quicker. On Day 30, she was officially introduced to the “big brothers” in the house—her feline sibling Huang and dog Nike. Huang, in particular, took an instant liking to her and was patient in playing with May.

On Day 40, her owner started helping May get used to being handled by gently wrapping her in a “burrito blanket” to reduce her mischievous, biting tendencies.

By Day 51, May had earned the title of the “professional troublemaker.” She often teased Nike and played hide-and-seek with her owner, keeping the household lively and full of joy.

On Day 60, two months after being rescued, May had transformed from a scruffy, fragile kitten into a beautiful, healthy young cat, full of life. She had become an inseparable part of the lively family.
