Stinky’s journey began in the worst of circumstances—a stray cat with severe injuries, deep wounds on his face, and a severely malnourished body. Yet, this was just the start of a miraculous recovery that would change his life forever.
The Rescue Phase (Day 1 – Day 2)

Stinky was found in an incredibly poor state—his face was covered with deep wounds leaking pus, a large patch of fur was missing from his leg, and his overall health was in dire condition. A kind-hearted young woman decided to step in and rescue him.
She rushed him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with multiple conditions: feline herpes, mouth inflammation, a previous jaw fracture that had healed incorrectly, and a severe parasite infestation. Despite these health challenges, Stinky’s will to live was unmistakable. He sought out human companionship, showing a strong desire to be loved.

Home Care and Initial Progress (Day 3 – Day 6)
Stinky’s new owner dedicated herself to his care, cleaning his facial wounds multiple times a day, administering medication, and using a nebulizer to help with his breathing. Slowly but surely, his wounds began to heal. Stinky started eating better, gaining weight, and even learned how to use his paws to pick up food. His affectionate personality began to shine through—he loved being petted and playing with his new family. It was clear that Stinky’s spirit had not been broken by his rough past.
Facing Health Setbacks (Day 7 – Day 30)
During his recovery, Stinky faced a significant health scare. His abdomen became swollen, leading his owner to fear that he might be suffering from FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). However, after some tests, the results came back negative, much to their relief. Stinky continued his treatment with periodic injections and nebulizer sessions at home. By the 30th day, his facial wounds had almost completely healed, and his wheezing had significantly reduced. However, he still struggled with adjusting to indoor life, often crying at night as he got used to his new surroundings.

Long-Term Recovery and New Challenges (Day 95)
After more than three months of care, Stinky had made incredible progress. His fur and whiskers had grown back beautifully, and he looked unrecognizable from the emaciated stray he once was. However, a planned neutering surgery had to be postponed due to lingering nasal issues and eye discomfort. Additionally, Stinky tested positive for calicivirus, which further complicated his recovery. On top of that, Stinky developed a habit of marking his territory by urinating in the wrong places, creating some challenges for his owner. Despite these setbacks, Stinky continues to receive treatment and is gradually adjusting to life with the other cats in the house.
