The call came in quietly.

A mother cat had been struck by a car and was lying near the roadside. When the rescuer arrived, the scene was heartbreaking but calm. She was conscious, breathing quickly, her body tense with pain.

Her wounds were cleaned thoroughly. She received vitamins to strengthen her weakened body and medication to ease her discomfort. Meanwhile, the kittens were examined as well. The one with the eye issue received careful treatment to prevent complications.

For the first time since the accident, the family was safe.

A New Beginning at the Happy Home

After treatment, the family was brought to a dedicated care space known as the Happy Home. It was clean, warm, and quiet. Soft bedding replaced cold pavement. Fresh food and water were always nearby.

At first, the mother cat was overwhelmed.

The unfamiliar smells and sounds made her anxious. She seemed restless and occasionally pushed her kittens away, likely from stress and discomfort.

But the caregivers did not rush her.

They sat nearby.
They spoke gently.
They gave her time.

Gradually, her breathing slowed. Her body relaxed.

She pulled her kittens close and began nursing them again.

It was a small, powerful sign that her spirit was healing along with her body.

Days turned into weeks.

Her strength improved steadily. Movement returned little by little to her back legs. The kittens grew stronger too, their eyes bright and curious.

The once injured mother now rests comfortably beside her babies in a calm, sunlit space. There is no traffic noise. No fear. No cold ground.

When she has fully recovered, plans are in place to ensure she will be spayed, protecting her health and giving her a more secure future.
