The Cat With No Face Who Still Chose to Trust

Hello dear friends.

Today I want to share a story from one of our subscribers. I will tell it in her own words, because sometimes raw honesty carries more truth than anything else.

A few months ago, he appeared outside my balcony.

The cat simply lay there and looked at me.

When I went downstairs and came closer, my heart sank. I immediately understood that this was not an ordinary stray in need of food. This was something much more serious.

The cat barely had a face.
There was almost no nose.
Her front teeth were gone.
Her body was covered in sores.
Her eyes were painfully infected.

She could hardly move.

I was frightened. I will not lie. Seeing her condition was overwhelming. But walking away would have been worse.

So I picked her up and took her to a veterinary clinic.

A Diagnosis That Felt Like a Storm

After an examination, the doctor gave preliminary diagnoses. Severe infections. Possible cancer.

The words echoed in my mind.

I live in a city where I know almost no one. I called inpatient clinics, hoping someone could admit her. One by one, they refused. There were no infection departments available. No isolation spaces.

I felt completely alone.

For now, she is in my bathroom. I know I am risking my own cat. I disinfect constantly. I keep them separated. I am exhausted and afraid of making a mistake.

But leaving her outside would have been like signing her death warrant with my own hand.

She is so weak she cannot eat or drink by herself.

And yet, something happened that I cannot forget.

On the way to the clinic, wrapped in a towel in my arms, she purred the entire time.

As if she understood.

As if she knew someone was finally trying to help her.

When Fear and Compassion Collide

It is easy to judge from a distance. It is much harder when the responsibility lands in your own hands.

This subscriber did not feel brave. She felt scared, confused, uncertain.

But she acted anyway.

Right now the future is unclear. Treatment options need to be discussed. Further diagnostics must confirm whether the mass is cancerous and whether surgery or palliative care is possible.

What is clear is this.

The cat is no longer alone on the street.

She is warm.
She is sheltered.
She is being spoken to gently.

And she is still purring.
