Sadly, one of the kittens in their litter had passed away before they were found. The rescuers quickly scooped up the two surviving kittens, placing them gently into a helmet for the ride home, knowing that without immediate help, they might not survive.

The Challenging Care and First Aid

The kittens were in desperate need of care. They were covered in fly eggs and maggots, and the rescuer had to use tweezers to carefully remove each one, cleaning them with a soft toothbrush to make sure every inch of their bodies was free from dirt and parasites. The process was slow and meticulous, but it was essential to give the kittens a fighting chance.

As weak as they were, the kittens refused to drink from a bottle and had severe diarrhea. The rescuer, undeterred, patiently fed them drop by drop using a syringe. This continued for many nights, as each drop of milk and care gave the kittens a small chance at survival.

Medical Treatment and Recover

Following advice from fellow rescuers online, the caregiver mixed special medications and powders into the milk to treat the kittens’ diarrhea and boost their immune systems. A Miraculous Recovery

After weeks of constant care and attention, the kittens, now named Ni and Nini, began to thrive. They started to drink from the bottle on their own, and their once-empty bellies grew round and full. Their playful spirit began to emerge, and they started to explore their surroundings with newfound energy.

To keep them warm and comfortable, the kittens were dressed in tiny “sweaters” made from socks, helping them stay cozy as they recovered. Regular vaccinations and vet visits ensured they were on the right track to becoming healthy, strong cats.
